Segway Navimow i215 LiDAR vs ECOVACS Goat O1000 LiDAR Pro

MowPilot is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site we may earn an affiliate commission. It never affects our rankings or the price you pay. How this works

LiDAR navigation reached the mid-range this season, and these are its two standard-bearers. The Navimow i215 brings bigger coverage and a higher slope rating; the Goat O1000 LiDAR Pro undercuts it on price and counters with smarter edge mowing. For shaded suburban lawns, this is the decision most buyers actually face.

Segway Navimow i215 LiDAR

LiDAR and vision fusion that just works. The default recommendation for most lawns.

ECOVACS Goat O1000 LiDAR Pro

LiDAR navigation and smart edge mowing at the bottom of the mid-range bracket.

Segway Navimow i215 LiDAR

What we like

  • LiDAR navigation shrugs off tree cover and satellite dropouts
  • Fully automatic mapping. The fastest setup we've tested in the tier
  • Excellent, reliable obstacle avoidance
  • Off-road wheel kit available for rough terrain

What to know

  • No AWD, so respect the 45% slope rating
  • Edge cutting still leaves a small trim strip
  • Popular enough that stock runs thin in spring

ECOVACS Goat O1000 LiDAR Pro

What we like

  • Cheapest LiDAR navigation on the market
  • Smart edge mowing meaningfully reduces trimming
  • Wire-free mapping works even in dense shade
  • Polished app inherited from ECOVACS' vacuum line

What to know

  • Coverage and slope ratings trail the i215
  • Single-axle drive struggles on wet inclines
  • No built-in trimmer like the A-series

Which should you buy?

The i215 LiDAR is the better machine for most: half again more coverage (0.37 vs 0.25 acres), a 45% slope rating, and Segway's more proven wire-free platform. That's worth the extra $200 if your lawn is anywhere near the O1000's limits. The O1000 LiDAR Pro wins on a strict budget or on smaller lawns where its superior edge cutting saves real trimmer time every week.
