Verdict
The Lymow One Plus is for the property that isn't really a lawn: the rough acre of field grass on a hillside. It cuts material that stalls every wheeled robot here, and climbs grades nothing else attempts.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Tracked drive climbs 45°, the steepest rating in this guide
- Dual rotary mulching blades devour thick, coarse grass
- Massive daily coverage for the price
- Handles ruts, roots, and rough ground that wheels can't
What to know
- Louder and more aggressive cut than turf-perfectionist rivals
- Treads can mark very soft, wet lawns
- Young company whose support network is still building out
Full review
Lymow looked at the robot mower market and built a tractor. Rubber tank treads replace wheels, giving the One Plus a 45-degree climb rating and composure on rutted, root-laced ground that induces wheel-spin panic in everything else we track. Dual heavy rotary blades chew through thick, coarse, and overgrown grass rather than politely trimming golf turf.
That character defines its buyer. On a manicured fescue lawn it's the wrong tool. It runs louder than the silent LiDAR types, and its treads can print on soft ground. But on the rough acre behind a rural house, the steep municipal berm, or the orchard floor, it does work no other machine in this price class attempts, covering up to 1.7 acres a day.
Who it's for: Rough, coarse, sloped terrain that chews up wheeled mowers.
